Metric
There are average rock bands and then there is Metric. This quartet from Toronto put on one hell of a show at The Crocodile last night. Emily Haines on vocals and synth was a dynamo. I occasionally feared she would collapse from exhaustion as her on stage antics shifted instantly from robotic minimalism to full on head banging and back again. The energy and pulse Metric put out was simply astounding.
Not being a veteran of the club scene I asked my more experienced companions in the audience if the show was really as good as I thought it was. Everyone agreed it was fantastic.
