Five things I’ve come to accept about going to the beach
- The hair on my head is no longer an effective sun block.
- Sand will get onto everything and into everywhere. Yes, even there.
- Playing in knee-deep surf with my young children who can’t yet swim is only fun for the first five minutes.
- Sand crabs are kind of cute as far as crustaceans are concerned.
- I will never score with those girls in the bikinis, and not just because I’m married with children.
