Union Station slideshow
The search engine A9 has an intriguing Yellow Pages gimmick called “Block View” whereby they show you an honest-to-god digital photo of meatspace businesses listed therein. Yesterday, A9 announced the addition of five new cities included in the Block View program: Washington, D.C.; Phoenix; Miami; Houston; and (drum roll please) Fargo, N.D.
I did a quick search for Union Station in Washington, D.C., and found a string of 50 stunning photos (considering they were taken from a moving vehicle) of arguably the most beautiful train station in America. I posted them to a Flickr set where they can be viewed as a slideshow. If you set the slideshow timings to change the photo every one second, the effect is cinematic, as if you were driving in slo-mo around one of America’s most beautiful buildings.
