Kid friendly?
Wow. I love weird surrealist art with a cartoonish quality. These paintings by artist Mark Ryden at the Frye in Seattle look awesome. I wonder if my five year old budding artist daughter would be interested, bored, or terrified?
The Frye is a great place because 1) it’s free and 2) it’s free. The permanent collection is so-so, but the special exhibits are usually worth a visit, especially because they’re free! They have interesting films in the auditorium from time to time, too.
